Supervised by: Sarah May Eilertson, LPC, NCC, CETP (License Number: C4352)

Candace completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Liberty University and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through the University of the Cumberlands in 2023. Her interest in counseling began when she was an undergraduate student and grew exponentially during her time working with military servicemembers and veterans in higher education.

Candace has a special interest in supporting recovery and restoration for victims of sexual assault and military-connected trauma, as well as family and other types of trauma. She recognizes that we all have different struggles, personalities, and coping mechanisms, and consequently we all experience trauma in completely unique ways. Her goal is to support your focused restoration and growth in a way that is natural and productive for you as a unique individual. Candace is committed to offering compassion, support, and partnership to clients in an understanding and non-judgmental space.

Candace joined Rising Phoenix Counseling Services in January of 2023 and is currently offering individual counseling services with a specialization in trauma treatment as well as reintegration/adjustment issues for veterans. She often utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic theory but may integrate other modalities based on what is most helpful for her clients’ unique needs and experiences. She looks forward to partnering with you in creating new, effective, healthy tools for managing your life, family, friends, and emotions, so you can construct the future that you want to live and enjoy.
